Health Care reform is one of the key agenda items Barack Obama is facing, and the debate seems to be endless. In recent news, Joseph Cao was the only Republican to sign on to a bill passed by the House of Representatives. The bill passed by a narrow margin of victory, 220-215. 29 Democrats broke with the party line and actually opposed the bill.
The abortion debate is also having a big impact on the health care discussion. Many pro-choice advocates are dismayed at the strict pro-life restrictions placed in the Bill. Some democrats are pledging that they won't approve any final deal that has such restrictions.
